Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Michelle Mead is in her third season as a hurdler with the Lady Jacket track & field team.....best efforts of the indoor campaign in the 60 meter hurdles were 10.22 in the prelims and 10.33 in the finals at the Indiana Wesleyan Classic.....posted an outdoor season-best time of 17.88 in the 100 meter hurdles at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.....best effort in the 400 meter hurdles was a 1:11.53 performance in the prelims at the National Christian College Athletic Association Championships.....placed ninth in the finals of the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.60 at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.....NCCAA Indoor and Outdoor Scholar-Athlete.

2011 - Posted a season-best effort of 9.61 in the prelims of the 55 meter hurdles at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Open.....top performance of the season in the 60 meter hurdles came in the preliminaries at the Findlay Open (10.20).....contributed nine individual outdoor points last spring.....placed sixth in the 400 meter hurdles at the American Mideast Conference Championship with a time of 1:11.50.....posted a 17.83 effort in the 100 meter hurdles for a sixth-place spot at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.

2010 - Finished fourth in the finals of the 55 meter hurdles at the Cedarville Indoor Challenge with a season-best 9.05 effort.....earned a fifth-place spot in the 60 meter hurdles with a 10.00 performance at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational.....produced 13 individual points during the 2010 indoor season.....a 16.76 outing in the finals of the 100 meter hurdles at the American Mideast Conference Championship was an outdoor best last spring.....posted a season-best 1:09.17 effort in the 400 meter hurdles for a fourth place finish at the Miami RedHawk Invitational.....produced a seventh place (1:10.64) outing in the 400 meter hurdles at the AMC Championship.

High School - Produced a two-sport career at Cincinnati Christian High School....earned four letters in both track & field and soccer.

Personal - Business marketing major at Cedarville University.....born 5/21/91 in Cincinnati, OH.....daughter of Ian and Frances Mead.....older sister, Catherine, was a four-year member of the North Central University (MN) cross country and track & field teams.....younger sister, Lindsey, was a three-year cross country and track performer at Evangel University.
