Nicole (Watterud) Perez is back for her fourth season with the Lady Jackets.....participated in six of the eight cross country meets this past fall.....served as a team captain.....CU’s top finisher (6th) at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championship with a career-best 18:55 5K performance in Clinton, Mississippi to earn All-America honors.....best 6K effort of the year was a PR of 23:05 at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational.

2015-16 - Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Outdoor Second Team on the track as the runner-up in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.....National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.....ran in five of the seven cross country meets.....ran 24:26 in the season-opening Queen City Invitational and at the All-Ohio Championships - both 6K’s.....posted a season-best 5K effort of 20:15 at the Evansville Invitational.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2014-15 - Distance runner during the track & field season.....steeplechase champion during the outdoor circuit.....All-G-MAC Outdoor First Team.....G-MAC Academic Team.....competed in six of seven meets as a sophomore and finished in the team’s top seven each time.....All-G-MAC Second Team performer by placing 10th in 23:22 for the 6K.....87th of 221 competitors in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional with a personal-best mark of 23:14.....Cedarville Open runner-up in the career-best 5K time of 19:20.

2013-14 - Distance runner on the track squad.....conference runner-up outdoors in the steeplechase.....All-G-MAC Second Team honoree.....ran in five varsity meets during her rookie season.....best 6K time of the season was 25:01 at Gettysburg to place 62nd of 276.....timed in 25:12 at the Friendship and 25:17 in the G-MAC.

High School - Twice named an all-league track & field performer at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.....member of two league and sectional title squads.....All-American at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the 4 x mile relay.....four-year letter winner in cross country.....two-time all-league first team.....three-time Team MVP.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a computer science major at Cedarville University.....born 10/12/95 in Syracuse, NY.....daughter of Scott and Nancy Watterud.....married on Aug. 1, 2015 to husband, Joshua, who is a distance runner with the CU men.....has one younger brother.
