Sarah Hoffman is in her final year at Cedarville University as a member of the distance running program.....will complete her NCAA eligibility by running in the 2019 indoor track & field season.
2018 - Registered 43 individual points during the outdoor campaign.....runner-up in the 800 meters with a career-best time of 2:16.60 at the Otterbein Twilight.....placed fourth in the 1500 meters at the Redhawk Invitational with a career-best 4:35.52 performance.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.....served as one of five cross country captains.....ran in all six meets during the 2018 season.....CU’s #5 runner at the Friendship Invitational with a 5K outing of 20:14.5.....registered a 6K career-best 23:06.3 as Cedarville’s #3 finisher at the All-Ohio Championships in Norton, Ohio.....produced a 23:22 effort at the Gettysburg Invitational (6K).....placed 14th of 117 participants with a 23:40.3 (6K) outing at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championships in Canton, Ohio.....G-MAC Second Team.
2017 - Earned a fourth-place spot in the 800 meters at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Indoor Championships with a 2:19.97 effort.....posted eight Top Five finishers in six different outdoor meets.....took home the individual title in the 1,500 meters (4:42.92) at the All-Ohio Championships.....runner-up in the 800 meters with a season-best time of 2:18.54 at the Yellow Jacket Outdoor Invitational.....placed fifth in the 800 meters (2:18.62) and the 1,500 meters (4:40.77) at the G-MAC Outdoor Championships.....part of G-MAC runner-up 4 x 400 meter relay foursome.....G-MAC Outdoor Second Team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team......competed in six cross country meets during the 2017 campaign.....placed tenth of 126 participants with a 5K time of 19:11 at CU’s Friendship Invitational.....posted best 6K outing of 23:12 at the All-Ohio Championships hosted at Cedarville’s Elvin R. 2016 - Member of a school record-setting distance medley relay with an 11:45.18 effort at Grand Valley State.....finished sixth in the 800 meters with an indoor season-best 2:19.23 performance at the NCCAA Indoor Championship.....placed fourth in the G-MAC Indoor 800 meters......part of school-record in the outdoor 4 x 800 meter relay of 8:59.84 set at the Texas Relays that also earned recognition as one of the 2016 Accusplit Relays of the Year.....member of the 4 x 400 meter relay quartet that placed first (4:05.19) in the G-MAC Outdoor Championship.....season-best 2:18.23 in the 800 meters produced a third-place finish at the Wilmington Invitational.....placed fourth in the 1500 meters at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship with a 4:42.14 outing.....NCAA Division II Indoor Qualifier in the DMR.....USTFCCCA Indoor Region Team (DMR).....G-MAC Indoor Third Team.....G-MAC Outdoor First Team.....USTFCCCA Division II All-Academic.
2015 - Member of the DMR squad that placed first with a 13:07.58 effort at the G-MAC Indoor Championship in Gambier, Ohio.....placed sixth in the G-MAC Indoor 800 with a season-best 2:22.80 effort.....member of a school record-setting 4 x 800 meter relay quartet at the Emory Invitational with a 9:04.08 effort.....part of the NCCAA Outdoor runner-up 4 x 800 meter relay unit with a time of 9:12.51.....posted a season-best 2:20.11 in the 800 at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championship.....a 4:58.75 performance in the 1,500 meters at Emory was an outdoor-best.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American.....G-MAC Indoor First Team.....G-MAC Indoor Freshmen Team.
High School - Produced a three-sport prep career at Chattanooga Christian High School.....two-year letter winner in track & field.....member of the 4 x 800 relay unit that placed fourth in the 2014 Tennessee state championships.....part of 4 x 400 relay team that set a new school record in 2014.....three-year letter winner in cross country.....member of the 2011 region and state championship team.....two-time member of the All-State cross country squad.....three-year state qualifier and two-time team captain.....also participated in soccer for one season.
Personal - Dean’s Honor List student as a business management and marketing major at Cedarville University.....born 4/20/96 in Wichita, KS.....daughter of Dave and Mary Hoffman.....mother was a four-year athlete in volleyball and basketball at LeTourneau University.....older sister, Anna, was a four-year member of the soccer and track & field programs at Trevecca University.....younger sister, Leah, is a junior soccer player at Trevecca.....another younger sister, Olivia, is a freshman member of the Cedarville women’s soccer and track & field teams.....also has an older brother.
