Jonny Gaunt returned to Cedarville University as the Assistant Sports Information Director during the 2025-26 academic year.
He came back to his alma mater after serving as a Program Manager at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base from 2023 through 2025.
Gaunt was the Assistant Director of Events and Facilities at Cedarville as a graduate assistant for two academic years from 2019 through 2021.
He also worked various positions in the Athletic Department for four years as an undergraduate student and most recently has served as a play-by-play announcer for Yellow Jacket soccer and basketball.
In addition he was a Senior Admissions Counselor at the school from 2021 through 2023.
Passionate about sport as a means of ministry, he has been a part of a number of Global Outreach trips through Cedarville and additional partner organizations around the world.
Gaunt is a native of Columbus, Ohio where he was a four year member of the boys’ soccer team and multiple sport athlete at Dublin Scioto High School.
He is a 2019 graduate from Cedarville with a degree in sport business management. He earned his MBA from the University in 2021.
Jonny resides in Kettering.Â
