Kurt Gruenberg has been part of the Yellow Jackets' athletic training staff since 2016 and was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Training and Sport Performance beginning with the 2025-26 academic year.
He oversees the care of the student-athletes for the 18 Yellow Jacket sports and cheerleading.
After working as a seasonal athletic training intern for a year with the Cleveland Browns, Gruenberg was hired as an assistant athletic trainer at the University in 2016. He was promoted to the position of Associate Athletic Trainer in 2019.
Gruenberg graduated from Cedarville University in 2015 with a degree in athletic training and then earned a master’s in athletic training from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2016.
Kurt and his wife, Kaleigh (Rowlands), who was a three-year Lady Jacket soccer standout, reside in Xenia with their two sons.
