Lady Jackets end season, skid with 3-0 win

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (10-22-2005) - The Lady Jackets ended the season with a 3-0 win at Shawnee State in an American Mideast Conference South Division match to halt a lengthy winless skid. Cedarville, who finishes 5-10-1 overall and 2-5-1 AMC, had gone without a win since a 1-0 decision at Rio Grande on Sept. 13 going 0-9-1 in the process.

Lisa Blackburn's team-high fifth goal of the season in the 8th minute was all the visitors needed. The score was stuck on 1-0 until the 61st minute when Katie Mariani netted her fourth goal of the campaign with an assist from Jessica Thomas. Nicole James closed out her four-year career by converting a penalty kick in the 84th minute. Cedarville outshot the Bears 23-4 including a whopping 16-0 margin in the second half.
