Elvin R. King Cross Country Course

New venue awaits NCCAA runners

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville University has hosted 26 of the past 28 NCCAA Cross Country Championships but they were always staged at John Bryan State Park in nearby Yellow Springs. Participants would then make the 6-8 mile trek south to the school for the awards banquet. With the opening of the new Elvin R. King Cross Country Course, everything revolving around the championship will be staged on campus.

The new venue was developed and built under the leadership of CU athletic director Pete Reese with the assistance of King, an NCCAA Hall of Fame coach who still directs the Lady Jacket program. The site officially opened in September with the 16th Annual Cedarville Invitational and was dedicated during Homecoming in October. [SEE MORE]
