BEAVERCREEK, Ohio - Cedarville charged back over the final nine holes to win the first-ever Yellow Jacket Fall Invitational at the Beavercreek Golf Club.
The hosts trailed by seven shots and sat in 4th place after the opening 18 in the 27-hole event. CU rallied with scores of 327-152 for a 479 total to edge Oakland City by three strokes. The Oaks finished at 321-161-482.
Ben Mounts tied for 3rd to lead the Yellow Jackets with 80-38-118. Matt Krogstad, 82-37-119, and Chris Bennington, 81-38-119, tied for 6th.
Trent Roach shot 84-39-123 while Dan Atkeson carded 84-43-127.
The best score for Cedarville came from Brigham Michaud, who was playing as an individual. He placed 2nd, one shot out of medalist honors with 76-40-116.
Other scores for the Yellow Jackets included Nick Bigler, 86-38-124, and Matt Yeiter, 80-45-125. [RESULTS]
