XENIA, Ohio - The Lady Jackets scored early and Roberts Wesleyan tallied late as the two American Mideast Conference foes played to a 1-1 deadlock at the Athletes in Action Complex.
A wet home field on campus and more rain in the forecast sent the match to the artificial field turf at AIA. It didn't take long for Cedarville to strike.
Rachel Brown deflected a corner kick from Jaimie Watkins onto the foot of Alison Scharold. The sophomore midfielder ripped a 10-yarder into the net in the 4th minute.
Scharold's marker was the only shot on goal the Jackets would have for the entire match. The hosts withstood the Raiders' attack until the 87th minute when they equalized. CU recorded the only shot by either team in both 10-minute overtime periods.
Alysia Bennett made two saves for the Lady Jackets, 5-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 AMC. Roberts Wesleyan is 5-4-3 and 4-1-2 AMC. [STATS]
