CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Two quick goals midway through the second half allowed Mount Vernon Nazarene to blank Cedarville, 2-0, in an American Mideast Conference match which closed out the 2009 season for the Lady Jackets.

The AMC playoff-bound Cougars finally broke a scoreless with a pair of goals just 70 seconds apart. The first came off a breakaway in the 66th minute while a header off a corner kick soon thereafter provided insurance for MVNU, 10-5-1 overall and 8-3 AMC.

The Lady Jackets were outshot 11-5 overall and 8-2 in shots on goal. Brianne Barnes got the start on Senior Day and made two saves. She was relieved by Alysia Bennett, who tallied three saves.
