Jackets stay in AMC playoff race

CANTON, Ohio - Cedarville rebounded from a loss to host Malone to sweep Carlow to stay alive for a possible American Mideast Conference playoff berth.
Malone ended the Lady Jackets’ three-match winning streak in the opener 25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19. Justine Christiaanse was the only CU player to reach double figures in kills with 11.
Kylee Husak recorded nine kills and six blocks. Lauren Gill and Emily Shade added nine kills apiece. Erica Bartholomew handed out 43 assists and Heather Kirkpatrick had 28 digs. [STATS]
Cedarville struggled in the opening set with Carlow before winning 26-24, 25-16, 25-21. Shade pounded 12 kills with four blocks while Christiaanse had 10 kills.
Support came from Husak with nine kills and three blocks. Bartholomew was good for 38 assists for the Lady Jackets, 13-20 overall and 7-4 AMC. [STATS]
