CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Junior defender Tim Green has been voted to the All-American Mideast Conference First Team for the 2009 season.
It’s the third consecutive season for Green to garner All-AMC recognition. He was a South Division First Team choice as a freshman in 2007 and earned a spot on the All-AMC Second Team last fall when the league returned to a single division format. Green has started all 55 matches in which he’s played during his career.
Junior forward Matt Niemiec, who is a sophomore athletically, was a repeat selection to the All-AMC Second Team. He leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and five assists for 27 points.
Sophomore midfielder James Twinem was also voted to the Second Team. He has four goals and a team-high nine assists for 17 points.
Junior goalkeeper Kevin Bender and freshman midfielder Eric Newman were honorable mention.
