CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets dipped one notch to #18 in the eighth NAIA Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 Poll with only one rating left.
Cedarville needs a solid showing in the AMC Championship which it will host on Saturday. The league receives only one automatic bid to the NAIA Nationals this year and two conference members are rated ahead of the Jackets, Malone is #2 and Shawnee State is #6.
The final poll is posted after the conference meets. If the Yellow Jackets don’t pull off a major upset this weekend, they may need a boost in the ratings in order to secure one of the coveted at-large bids.
Southern Oregon is #1 in the latest poll with a slim five-point lead over Malone. Completing the top five are Aquinas (Mich.), Concordia (Neb.), and British Columbia.
