Winningest baseball season ever ends at NCCAA

MASON, Ohio - Top-seed and fellow American Mideast Conference member Malone eliminated #6 Cedarville from the NCCAA National Tournament with a 6-3 decision.

The Yellow Jackets, 32-28 overall, end the campaign with the most victories in school history and the program's first winning season in 19 years.

Senior Brady Workman ended his career by drilling a two-out, three-run homer in the top of the 7th inning to break up the shutout. CU's other hit was an infield single credited to senior Jordan Shumaker in the 4th.

The Pioneers outhit the Yellow Jackets, 12-2, making the most of 11 singles, four walks, and a hit batter. However, their one extra base hit was a three-run homer that pushed the difference to 5-0 in the 5th inning. [BOXSCORE]
