EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Josh Wiseman and Justin Hoffman assembled All-America performances at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Wiseman repeated as an All-American (top six finishers) in the 5,000 meter race walk by placing 4th in a career-best time of 22:02.47. He finished 5th a year ago.
Hoffman was 3rd in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.39 seconds. He advanced to the final by placing 3rd in his semifinal heat in 14.40.
The 4 x 100 meter relay squad failed to advance to the final, but broke their own school record in the semifinals. Travis Smith, Marcus Benjamin, Michael Beight, and Sammy Starr were clocked in 41.69 seconds.
Three other athletes competed in the race walk. Seth Campbell was 11th (25:15.50), Grant Bacon was 18th (26:43.50), and Paul Ikeda was disqualified. Ben Michaud ended his career by placing 19th in the shot put with a heave of 50-feet 3.25-inches.
