CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Trevor Bowman is one of 15 players from across the country to be named to the 2009 NAIA Men's Golf All-America First Team.
Bowman, a senior from Harpster, Ohio, is Cedarville's only NAIA All-American in men's golf. He nabbed a spot on the Second Team last spring.
Bowman set a school record this season by averaging 73.14 strokes per 18 holes. He became the Yellow Jackets' first-ever four-year all-conference golfer when he finished as the runner-up in the AMC Championship.
Bowman was the medalist at the Lindenwood Invitational where he broke the school record for 54 holes by seven shots finishing with a five-under par total of 211. He also won the 36-hole Shawnee State Invitational at three-under par 141.
Five of the lowest 18-hole scores at CU belong to Bowman as do three of the four best 36-hole marks. His career scoring average of 75.11 ranks second all-time, yet is the best among Yellow Jacket golfers who played all four years of their career at Cedarville.
