CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Cedarville University softball coach
Wes Rowe is pleased to announce the signing of a key recruit for the 2010 season. Paige Stewart, a senior at Thomas Worthington High School (OH), recently signed her letter of intent to attend Cedarville and play softball for the Lady Jackets.
Stewart earned all-conference recognition as a sophomore and junior. She garnered all-district honors and All-Ohio honorable mention as a junior. Entering the 2009 campaign Stewart had a career batting average of .368.
Coach Rowe adds these comments about Stewart. “We are getting a very good and fundamentally sound player in Paige Stewart. She is a solid infielder who can play third, shortstop or second. Offensively, she consistently makes contact and rarely strikes out. We are fortunate to have Paige joining our program.”
Paige is the daughter of Steve and Laurie Stewart of Westerville, Ohio.
