CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Four members of the Lady Jacket tennis team have been recognized as NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2009 season. It's the eighth consecutive year that Cedarville has had at least one player from the program so recognized.
Heading up the quartet is senior Anna Strayhorn. The graphic design major from Falmouth, Maine, secured a spot on the list for the second year in a row.
The other recipients are Sarah Andersen, a senior social work major from Pittsfield, Mass.; Rachel Arthur, a junior youth ministries/Christian education major from Burlington, Ind.; and Carissa Parmerlee, a junior international studies missiology major from Grand Rapids, Mich.
NAIA Scholar-Athletes are juniors and seniors who maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
