Dice signs with Lady Jacket tennis

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Head coach Dee Morris has announced that Joy Dice has signed a letter of intent to further her education at Cedarville University and play tennis for the Lady Jackets beginning in the fall of 2010. The Salem, Illinois native is home schooled but has extensive experience playing in both the USTA and Wightman Cup.

Dice has five years of play with USTA junior tennis and attained a mid-50's ranking in the Midwest 18's group. She has also played four years of junior Wightman Cup competition.

Coach Morris is pleased with the addition of Dice to the CU women's tennis program. "Joy will definitely add strength to our lineup," noted Morris. "She is tall, strong and very quick getting to the ball. The fact she's had singles experience will be an asset as she begins her college career."

Dice is beginning her college studies with the 2010 spring semester but will not start her collegiate tennis until fall.

Joy, a nursing major, is the daughter of Jim and Cindy Dice of Salem, Illinois. Her older brother, Dave, a 2004 graduate of Cedarville, was an NCCAA All-American with the Yellow Jacket men's tennis team.
