CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Miami University took both team trophies at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships as the RedHawks claimed the 30th annual women's title. The host Lady Jackets were 14th of 39 schools at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.
Miami ended up with 43 points to easily win its fourth championship. The RedHawks had six runners among the top 15 finishers. Dayton had 92 points while Ohio University tallied 103. Cedarville had 395 points.
Rachel Patterson of Miami shaved 11 seconds off the course record with a time of 17:13 for the 5,000 meters. The meet was run in dry, breezy, 70 degree temperatures.
Pacing the Lady Jackets for the third straight outing was Rachel Wong, who placed 41st out of 277 runners in 18:36. Neola Putnam was 67th in 18:59 and Hannah Lamos came in 80th in 19:08.
Erica Hoff was 85th in 19:11. The rest of the Lady Jacket line-up featured Grace Campbell (122nd; 19:40), Meghan Terrell (131st; 19:44), and Jessica Smith (181st; 20:29).
Cedarville University served as host of the All-Ohio for the first time ever.
