CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The construction of Legacy Plaza, a unique setting to recognize Cedarville University Athletes of Honor in the sports of soccer and track & field, is well underway. The site is located near the south entrance to the soccer/track & field complex.

The project is a collaborative effort of several people in the athletic department with primary leadership from the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Jeff Bolender as well as former athletic director and Supervisor of Outdoor Athletic/Recreation Facilities Pete Reese. Former Yellow Jacket track & field athlete and head coach Tim Walters is donating all of the concrete and labor.

The venue will feature a small scale track inlaid with engraved bricks of those who donated to the adventure. Inside the track will be a soccer field with a water fountain and benches at midfield.

Benches and landscaping will surround the plaza with a track & field record board located in one corner. The project is expected to be completed by Homecoming.
