MARION, Ind. - Senior sprinter
Alexa Winik won the 200 meter dash and was part of the victorious 4 x 400 relay squad to lead the Lady Jackets to six top finishes in all at the Indiana Wesleyan Classic. The meet was non-scoring.
Winik's time in the 200 was 26.19 seconds. She joined
Katie Lanphier,
Christina Gall, and
Joy Santos to win the 4 x 400 in 4:02.79.
Hannah Lamos coasted to victory in the 3,000 meters in 10:27.89. Her mark was nearly 35 seconds faster than the rest of the field.
A pair of freshmen,
Tabitha DeHart and
Valerie Kirk, made their respective collegiate debuts winning ones. DeHart took the 600 meters in 1:41.21 while Kirk did the same in the 60 meter hurdles in 9.40 seconds.
Beth Jones had Cedarville's lone win in the field events by placing first in the triple jump. She had a leap of 10.66 meters (34-11.75).
Gall had runner-up finishes in the 60 meter hurdles (9.51) and the 400 (1:00.42). Other second-place showings came from
Carolyn Case in the 800 (2:27.29) and
Abby Wong in the 3K (11:02.78).
