Kayla Jenerette and
Raegan Ryan did the damage from long range to spark Cedarville to an easy 86-47 victory at Ursuline to win for the sixth time in the last seven outings.
Jenerette drilled 5-of-8 three-pointers en route to a game-high 21 points. Ryan was good on 4-of-5 long balls and totaled a career-high 18 markers.
The Lady Jackets, 14-7 overall, found themselves in a 17-17 tie with under eight minutes left in the first half. A 24-8 explosion to finish the period resulted in a 41-25 margin at the break.
Jenerette scored 11 straight points for CU early in the second half which included a trio of three-pointers. However, the host Arrows were still hanging around within 54-39 with 11:30 left.
The Jackets needed less than three minutes to run off 14 unanswered points. The string was part of a 21-2 haymaker that made it 75-41 at the 6:50 mark. Cedarville scored the final 11 points of the game to account for the final.
Deborah Gordon added 14 points for the Lady Jackets.
Kara Cayton handed out a game-high seven assists.
CU made 10 three-pointers, converted 14-of-16 free throws, and controlled the boards, 48-31. Ursuline drops to 6-15.
