CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Midwest Region champion Cedarville University is the No. 1 seed at the NCCAA Division I Baseball Championship which opens Wednesday at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio.
The 10-team event that will be played on May 16-19 consists of two five-team pools. The top two teams in each pool advance to the single-elimination semifinals and final.
The Yellow Jackets, 36-11 overall, will face No. 8 Emmanuel (Ga.) in their first game at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. They'll meet No. 5 Southeastern (Fla.) at 8:00.
On Thursday, CU squares off with No. 9 Nyack (N.Y.) at 1:00 and No. 4 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) at 7:00.
The other pool consists of No. 2 California Baptist, No. 3 and defending champion Oklahoma Wesleyan, No. 6 Malone, No. 7 Bluefield (Va.), and No. 10 Mid-Continent (Ky.).
