CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Carsyn Koch set two meet records and three other teammates posted wins to lead Cedarville to its first G-MAC women's indoor title at the Doden Field House.

The Lady Jackets totaled 183.50 points. Ursuline was the runner-up with 112 points while Kentucky Wesleyan was next with 83.

Koch, who is ranked #3 in the country in Division II in the 800 meters, paced a CU contingent that took the top four spots in the event.

She set a new G-MAC standard with a time of 2:13.08 which is #5 all-time at Cedarville. Teammate Olivia Esbenshade was right behind in 2:13.42 - the sixth-fastest mark in school history.

Koch set another meet record in the 400 with a winning time of 56.28 seconds. That effort rates #4 on the Lady Jackets' Top 10 list.

Other victories came from Laura Farleman in the high jump, who tied the meet record with a mark of 5-3 (1.60 meters), Hailey Bredeson in the mile (5:13.59), and Lyndsey Smith in the 200 meters (26.41).

The 4 x 400 meter relay squad of Esbenshade, Smith, Vivianna Hein, and Carly Rose also ran to victory in 4:08.16.

Mariah Cruise was the runner-up in the shot put at 40-6.25 (12.35m). The performance is in CU's Top 10 at the #7 position.

Other runner-ups came from Smith in the long jump (16-4.25; 4.98m), Farleman in the 55 meter hurdles (8.86), Kayla Casaletto in the 5K (18:34.58), Bethany Norman in the 3K (10:33.31), and Kristen Mohre in the pole vault (10-0; 3.05m).

Quotable: G-MAC Coach of the Year Jeff Bolender

"I am proud of our teams' effort and focus in winning the G-MAC championships. Conference titles are never easy to win.

"Our goal was to compete well and score as many points as we could. We had many personal best performances today and that is exciting to see happen at the end of a long indoor season."

Next Up: Carsyn Koch is scheduled to compete in the NCAA Division II Championship on March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
