Josiah Bernard returns for his fourth and final year with the Yellow Jackets.....three-time G-MAC First Team sprinter both indoors and outdoors.....member of winning G-MAC indoor 4 x 400 meter unit that ran the ninth-fastest time in school history of 3:25.51.....conference indoor high jump champion by clearing a career-best 6-5.50.....best indoor 400 meters was 51.15 in the Cedarville Invitational.....won his third straight G-MAC outdoor 400 meter title in a season-best 49.62 seconds.....part of runner-up 4 x 400 relay team clocked in 3:23.29.....finished 3rd in the high jump (5-10.75) and triple jump (PR 42-11.75).

2016 - Repeated as a G-MAC First Team performer both indoors and outdoors.....conference indoor 400 champion for the second straight year in 50.78 seconds.....also part of winning 4 x 400 meter relay unit in 3:27.37.....recorded season bests in the 400 (50.59) at Grand Valley State and high jump (6-1.50) at the Cedarville Indoor.....G-MAC outdoor champion in both the 400 (50.45) and high jump (6-0.75).....two-time 400 meter champion.....G-MAC runner-up in the triple jump (42-6) and placed 3rd in the 400 hurdles (59.22).....established other season bests in the 400 (50.28) and 400 hurdles (57.77) both at the Wilmington Invitational.

2015 - Produced an outstanding rookie campaign on the track.....NCCAA Indoor All-American in the 400 meters after placing 3rd in 51.33 seconds.....fastest time was 50.20 at the Indoor Hoosier Hills.....won the G-MAC Indoor 400 (50.94) and was the runner-up in the high jump (6-2).....cleared 6-5 at the Ohio Northern Indoor.....G-MAC Outdoor 400 champion with a career-best time of 49.60 and placed 3rd in the high jump (6-0).....best outdoor high jump was 6-2.75 at the Emory Invitational.....member of conference championship 4 x 400 meter relay quartets both indoors (3:23.79), which posted the second-fastest time in school history, as well as outdoors (3:21.07).....earned spots on the G-MAC First Team indoors and outdoors.....G-MAC Freshmen Team both indoors and outdoors.

High School - Two-year track & field athlete at Hilliard Davidson High School.....earned 2013 All-Ohio Division I honors as a junior in two relay events.....4 x 400 squad placed 5th in the state (3:18.12) while the 4 x 200 unit was 8th (1:29.12).....Wildcats finished 23rd in Division I at the 2013 state meet and were 10th in 2014.....part of two-time Ohio Capital Conference championship team that also was twice Central District champions.....earned a spot on the Columbus Dispatch Honor Roll.....played four years of football with two letters.....selected all-conference as a defensive back.....member of 2013 regional title team.....Columbus Dispatch Student-Athlete of the Week on the gridiron.....Academic All-Ohio in track & field.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an AYA social studies education major at Cedarville University.....married wife Samantha (Reece), who is a senior sprinter for the Lady Jackets, on 7/22/17.....born 10/4/95 in Columbus, OH.....son of Greg and Connie Bernard.....older brother, Seth, was a four-year basketball player at Baptist Bible College.....also has two older sisters, another older brother, and a younger sister.
