Biography

Kelsey (Warrington) Chapman is in her final season with the Lady Jacket softball team.....started all 45 contests she appeared in last spring.....produced a fifth-best .281 batting average.....led team with 38 runs batted in - tied for sixth all-time in a single season.....tied for a team-best three HR’s.....added four doubles and two triples.....ranked fourth with 56 total bases....registered a fifth-highest .403 slugging percentage.....went 3-for-3 with a triple, three runs and an RBI in the home opening 18-1 win over Minnesota-Crookston.....tallied a 3-for-4 outing including three runs batted in and a run scored in a 14-1 win over visiting Wheeling Jesuit.....paced squad with 12 multiple-RBI games.....career leader in home runs at CU with 12 and is tied for the top spot with 39 doubles.....ranks second all-time with 56 extra base hits and 103 RBI’s.....fourth-best with 221 career total bases and is sixth all-time with a .474 slugging percentage.....tied for first all-time at Cedarville with eight sacrifice flies.....member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Midwest Region Team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Academic Team.

2012 - Started all 57 games in which she appeared.....55 starts came behind the plate with two at third base.....batted .279 with a team-leading six doubles and four home runs.....produced second-best efforts of 80 total bases, a .465 slugging percentage and 22 extra base hits.....added two triples.....knocked in a third-high 38 runs.....tallied a second-best 10 multiple RBI games a fourth-best 13 multiple hit games.....went 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBI’s as CU took down #1-seed Indiana Wesleyan 6-0 to earn the NCCAA Midwest Region banner.....drove home three runs on three separate occasions....registered a 3-for-4 performance with two RBI’s and two runs scored in an 11-3 win over visiting Salem International.....topped the team with six hits with bases loaded.....ranks second all-time with 57 games played and four home runs in a season.....172 at bats, 16 doubles, 22 extra base hits, 38 RBI’s and 80 total bases all rank in Top 10 for a single season at CU.....member of the National Christian College Athletic Association Midwest Region Team.....NCCAA Midwest Region All-Tournament Team selection.....Ohio Independent Championship (OIC) Second Team.

2011 - Started all 53 games of the campaign.....53 games played in a season set a new school record.....led team in doubles (19) and tied with Sydney Miller for team-best five home runs.....the five HR’s in one season set a new school record.....tallied a second-best .548 slugging percentage..... produced a fourth-best 27 runs batted while hitting .316 on the year......tied a school record with three doubles in one game in a win at Ohio Valley.....one of four members on the 2011 pitching staff.....posted a 3-4 record and one save.....hurled 38 1/3 innings in six starts.....registered five complete games and two shutouts.....American Mideast Conference First Team selection.

High School - Produced a solid four-sport prep career at Red Lion Christian Academy.....earned five letters in softball.....two-time all-state second team selection.....all-state honorable mention choice in 2008.....five-time all-conference first team honors.....participated in the 2010 Blue-Gold Senior All-Star game.....posted a .400 batting average as a senior.....two-year letter winner in field hockey.....named to the all-conference first team squad in 2009.....also two-year letter winner in basketball and cross country.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a sport management major at Cedarville University.....born 8/21/92 in Townsend, DE.....daughter of Eddie and Amy Warrington....married former Yellow Jacket baseball player Jordan Chapman on August 11, 2012.....older sister, Katie, played her freshman season of softball at NCAA I Liberty University before competing three seasons as a pitcher at NCAA II Wilmington University.....also has a younger brother and younger sister.
