Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Greg Johnson is a fourth-year distance runner at CU.....saw action in three varsity meets his junior year.....team’s top finisher and placed 3rd overall at the Dayton Challenge 5K in 16:51.....matched his career-best 8K time of 27:20 to place 47th at the Friendship Invitational.....distance runner on the track.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2011 - Ran in five varsity meets as a sophomore.....best mark of the season was 27:35 at the Friendship Invitational.....crossed the finish line at the Miami Open in 27:40.....focused on the 3,000 meter steeplechase during the outdoor track season.

2010 - Appeared in six varsity meets as a freshman.....narrowly missed NCCAA All-America honors by placing 21st in season-best time of 27:20 for national title team.....finished 41st of 105 at the American Mideast Conference Championship in 27:24.....distance runner on the track team.

High School - Three-sport athlete at Bible Baptist High School.....three-year letter winner in cross country and was a two-time state qualifier.....placed 16th in the district as a junior and 26th as a senior.....four-year letter winner in track & field.....district qualifier in the 800 meters and state qualifier in the 3,200.....member of CCAC track championship squad.....played one season of soccer.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an English major at Cedarville University.....born 11/11/91 in Centereach, NY.....son of Kurt and Joanne Johnson.....younger brother, Erik, is a junior distance runner at CU.....has another younger brother.
