Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Jacob Forsythe is the Yellow Jackets’ top returning player.....begins the season with a 76.33 average per 18 holes to rate 4th on CU’s all-time list.....averaged 77.30 as a junior to rate second on the squad.....turned in a season-low 147 (72-75) at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional #3 to tied for 9th place and help the Jackets finish 4th of 29 schools.....tied for 4th place at the Ohio Dominican Classic with 76-73-149.....Student Athlete Advisory Committee President.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2012-13 - Averaged 75.53 as a sophomore which is the 6th-best in CU golf history.....Great Midwest Athletic Conference Golfer of the Year and an All-G-MAC performer.....PING NCAA Division II Midwest Region Team.....NCAA Super Regional Qualifier and NCCAA Championship Qualifier.....tied for 31st out of 108 in the NCAA Super Regional with 75-76-71-222 (+6).....tied for 3rd in the NCAA Fall Regional #1  at 71-73-144 (E).....followed a 76 with a career-low 69 for 145 (+1) to tie for 14th in the NCAA Regional #4.....tied for 10th at the Georgetown Classic with 74-76-150 (+6).....G-MAC Academic Team.

2011-12 - Enjoyed an outstanding rookie season.....led the team with a 76.77 average.....one of three players to compete in all 22 rounds through 10 events..... All-Ohio Independent Championship team performer after placing 4th in the tournament with 74-71-145.....won the 31st Annual Cedarville Invitational with 80-78-158 in windy conditions.....became only the fourth Yellow Jacket and first in 13 years to claim medalist honors in the event.....Taylor Invitational runner-up (76-84-160).....finished 3rd at Shawnee State (75-72-147).....matched his season-low of one-under par 71 at the Ohio Dominican Classic where he tied for third (79-71-150).....tied for 20th in the Atlantic Region Invitational at 76-73-74-223.....broke 80 in 17-of-22 rounds.

High School - Four-year letter winner on the links at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.....earned a spot on the All-Ohio Division II First Team as a senior.....placed 3rd in the state tournament with rounds of 79-78-157 on the Ohio State University Scarlet Course.....two-time all-district first team selection.....twice named the PAC-7 Player of the Year.....lowest 18-hole tournament score was a four-under par 68.....averaged 75.1 as a junior and 75.2 as a senior.....member of CVCA team as a sophomore that was sectional champion and placed sixth in the state.....salutatorian of graduating class.....Academic All-Ohio.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 9/25/92 in Cleveland, OH.....son of David and Miriam Forsythe.....younger brother, Jon, plays soccer at Moody Bible Institute...has another younger brother and a younger sister.
