Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Neil Klinger is a graduate student in his fifth year at Cedarville University and his fourth as a member of the cross country program.....outstanding 2012 season appearing in seven varsity meets.....career-best 8K mark of 25:32 in the All-Ohio Championship to place 33rd of 301 competitors.....turned in a 25:34 to finish 8th in the Friendship Invitational.....All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference First Team performer placing 6th in 26:03.....finished 37th in the Midwest Regional in 32:07 for the 10K.....specialized in the 3,000 meter steeplechase on the track.....USTFCCCA Division II Outdoor All-Region Team in the event.....NCCAA All-American for the second straight year with a 3rd-place finish.

2011 - Saw action in five varsity meets during junior campaign.....best 8K time was 27:24 at the Friendship Invitational.....ran the 3,000 meters during the indoor track season.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American in the 3,000 meter steeplechase by placing 3rd.

2010 - Ran in six varsity meets as a sophomore.....NCCAA All-American for national title team placing 17th in 27:12.....season-best mark was 27:02 at the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational.....finished 33rd of 105 at the American Mideast Conference Championship in 27:03.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American on the track in the 4 x 800.

2009-10 - Participated on the track & field squad as a freshman in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.....competed in the middle distance events and the long jump.

High School - Three-sport athlete at Hilltop High School.....four-year letter winner on the track for the Cadets.....recognized as team MVP as a junior and senior.....set school records in the long jump, 4 x 400, and 4 x 800.....picked up three letters in football and was named to the All-Buckeye Border Conference First Team.....lettered in his only season of cross country achieving All-BBC First Team honors.....earned numerous academic accolades.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a pharmacy major at Cedarville University.....born 8/2/90 in Bryan, OH......son of Charles and Julie Klinger.....has one older sister.
