Biography
Jasmin Banachowski is a four-year distance runner with the Lady Jackets.....one of three team captains.....ran in four varsity meets as a junior.....posted a career-best 5K time of 20:30 at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational.....placed 15th in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in 21:25.....All-G-MAC Second Team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete in both cross country and track & field.
2011 - Saw action in four varsity meets.....turned in a season-best mark of 22:00 at the Friendship Invitational.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete in both indoor and outdoor track & field.
2010 - Ran in five varsity meets as a freshman.....best time was 20:45 at the AMC Championship which placed 52nd out of 120 competitors.....finished 68th in the NCCAA Championship in 20:59.....distance runner on the track team.
High School - Two-year letter winner in cross country at Liberty Center High School.....member of two-time district championship team.....squad also won regional crown and Northwest Ohio Athletic League title during senior year....two-year team captain.....four-year letter winner on the track.....placed 8th in the state in the 4 x 800 meter relay as a senior.....foursome was 2009 and 2010 district champs.....two-time all-district first team in the event.....Academic All-Ohio in cross country and track & field as a senior.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Dean’s List student as an early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 7/10/92 in Toledo, OH.....daughter of John Banachowski and Christen Moore.....younger sister, Kelly Jo Haubert, is a freshman distance runner at Grand Valley State.....also has a younger brother.
