Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Matthew Pelletier is in his third and final season with the Yellow Jackets after transferring from NCAA Division I Miami (Ohio).....one of three runners to compete in all seven meets.....NCCAA All-American placing 14th in an 8K career-best 25:48 for national title team.....helped squad to fourth straight G-MAC title finishing 7th in 27:13 for First Team honors.....finished 60th of 215 in NCAA Division II Midwest Regional with a 10K PR of 32:44.....distance runner on the track.....G-MAC Indoor Second Team.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2014 - One of three runners to participate in all seven cross country meets.....Cedarville Open individual champion in a season-low 8K time of 26:03.....finished 15th at Carnegie Mellon in 26:10 and was 82nd of 569 in the All-Ohio Championship in 26:22.....G-MAC Second Team honors after placing 8th in 26:31.....came in 81st of 202 at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional in 33:16.....did not run during the indoor or outdoor track & field seasons.

2012-14 - Ran one season of cross country at Miami (Ohio) and two years of track & field.

High School - Five-time All-Ohio Division III performer at Berkshire High School.....earned the honor twice in cross country.....placed 8th in the state as a junior in 15:51.10 for the 5K and was 7th as a senior in 16:01.46.....on the track, state runner-up in the 3200 meters as a junior in 9:29.59.....finished 3rd in the event as a senior in 9:28.35.....placed 5th in the 1600 as a sophomore in 4:24.04.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a finance major at Cedarville University.....born 7/12/93 in Mayfield, OH.....son of Robert and Julie Pelletier.....younger brother, David, is a sophomore distance runner with the Yellow Jackets.....also has one older sister, a younger sister, and another younger brother.
