Elisabeth Pyles returns to the Lady Jacket track team for her fourth season as a distance runner.....competed in all eight cross country meets this past fall.....earned NAIA All-America recognition with a career-best 17:58 performance and placing 20th helping the Lady Jackets to a third-consecutive runner-up finish.....NCCAA All-America honors with a seventh-place finishing time of 18:40.....named to the All-AMC First Team by posting a 19:18 performance and a 5th-place finish.....earned NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors.....recognized as the Bullock Award recipient as the NCCAA’s Women’s Runner of the Year.
2007-08 - Posted 33 individual indoor points.....won the 3,000 meter event at the Capital Invitational with a time of 10:32.39.....finished as runner-up in the 5K at the NCCAA Indoor Championship with a 18:00.50 performance..... registered 59 individual points during the 2008 outdoor campaign.....won two 5K titles and three 3,000 meter steeplechase events.....posted a career-best 17:55.73 in capturing the 5K event at the AMC Championship.....placed 4th at the NAIA Outdoor Championship in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a career-best effort of 10:49.86 to grab NAIA All-America honors.....named NCCAA Indoor and Outdoor All-American.....earned All-AMC First Team honors in both the 3,000 meter steeplechase and the 5K.....CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Team.....NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....completed another outstanding cross country campaign with the NAIA national runner-up squad.....was CU’s second-place finisher in two meets and third-place finalist in five other meets.....registered a season-best 18:07 at the AMC/NAIA Region IX meet to earn a 3rd-place finish out of 114 runners and earn All-AMC First Team honors.....helped lead Cedarville to their second straight NCCAA title with a 5th-place finish in 18:30 and also grab All-America recognition.
2006-07 - Totaled 57 individual points during the indoor/outdoor seasons.....repeated as an NAIA All-American in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:07.04 which finished 5th.....placed 3rd in the 3,000 meters (10:26.46) at the NCCAA Indoor Championship for All-America honors.....earned NCCAA Outdoor All-America status after capturing the 3,000 meter steeplechase title for the second consecutive year (11:08.94).....won the AMC 3,000 meter steeplechase crown with a 11:22.65 performance.....earned a first-place finish in the 5,000 meters at the Yellow Jacket Outdoor Open.....produced a 3rd-place spot in the 5,000 meters (18:09.12) at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship for All-America status.....produced a successful second campaign with CU women’s cross country squad.....ran a season-best 18:19 to finish 2nd out of 131 runners at the NAIA Region IX meet.....placed 12th of 268 runners at the NAIA Nationals with a time of 18:24 to earn All America honors.....finished 8th of 156 participants at the NCCAA Championship with a 19:14 effort.....garnered NCCAA All-America accolades to help Cedarville win national title.....was CU’s second-place finisher in seven of eight meets.....named to the All-AMC First Team.
2005-06 - NCCAA 3,000 meter steeplechase champion on the track in 11:04.93 to garner All-America status.....NAIA runner-up in 11:06.98 for All-America honors in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.....AMC runner-up in the steeple to earn All-AMC Second Team honors.....claimed 1,500 meter title at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open with a 5:01.46 effort.....ran in all eight cross country meets.....best performance was 18:42 at the NCCAA Championship which placed 14th of 142 runners....posted a time of 18:47 to place 43rd of 259 competitors at the NAIA National Championship.....finished 5th of 155 runners with a 18:54 effort to earn a spot on the All-AMC Team and help the Lady Jackets capture the AMC and NAIA Region IX Title.
High School - Enjoyed an outstanding track & field career at Cedarville High School.....Ohio Division III state champion in the 3,200 meters as a senior with a school-record time of 11:20.56.....also captured district and regional titles in the event.....holds other school records in the 1,600 (5:32.47), 4 x 400 meter relay (4:00.47), and 4 x 800 meter relay (9:50.59).....member of 2003 state runner-up 4 x 400 meter relay as a sophomore that set the school mark.....four-year letter winner in basketball.....played four seasons of volleyball with three letters.....one of three valedictorians of graduating class.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Dean’s List student as an early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 2/5/87 in Xenia, OH.....daughter of Dan and Jackie Pyles .....has an older brother, an older sister, another older sister, Sarah, participated in track at CU in 2004, a younger sister, and a younger brother.
