The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Nov. 20-26) is basketball player Lydia Sweeney. The 5-foot-8 junior guard from Grand Island, New York averaged 18.5 points per game in two contests at the Drury Thanksgiving Classic in Springfield, Missouri. Sweeney tossed in a career-high 22 points in a setback to the host #10 Drury Panthers on Tuesday, Nov. 22. She followed up with a team-high 15 points on Wednesday, Nov. 23 as the Lady Jackets fell to Truman State.
