The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (March 12-18) is softball player Casey Bertke. The junior from Cardington, Ohio hurled seven innings with seven strikeouts in a complete game 6-2 win in the first game of a doubleheader against visiting West Virginia State University on Wednesday, March 15. Bertke helped her cause by getting the scoring underway with a three-run triple in the third inning.
