The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Male Athlete of the Week (Nov. 12-18) is basketball player Jayvon Maughmer. The 6-foot-6 senior forward from Chillicothe, Ohio produced two solid all-round efforts in games against Southwest Baptist and Purdue Northwest as part of the Callan Classic on Fri.-Sat., Nov. 17-18. Maughmer fired in a game-high 22 points while grabbing eight rebounds in CU's 85-64 victory over the Bearcats of Southwest Baptist on Friday. He followed up with 11 points, six boards and six assists in a setback to the Pride of Purdue Northwest on Saturday.
