The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Dec. 31-Jan. 6) is basketball player Lydia Sweeney. The 5-foot-8 senior guard from Grand Island, New York tossed in a team-high 17 points in a 61-60 G-MAC win over Ohio Dominican in Columbus on Thursday, Jan. 4. She added six rebounds and matched her career-high with six assists. Sweeney followed up with a 27-point outing to go with six boards and four assists in a G-MAC setback at Ursuline in Pepper Pike, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 6.
