Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (March 24-30) is track & field sprinter Kiersten Franklin. The sophomore from Albany, Georgia produced three winning efforts at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open on Saturday, March 30 in Cedarville, Ohio. Franklin tied the 100 meters school record of 11.78 seconds to place first of 38 participants. She won the 200 meters event among 54 participants with a 24.37 seconds outing. Franklin was part of the winning 4x100 meter relay squad that set a new school record of 46.57 seconds. The Lady Jackets finished second overall in the 14-team event.
