Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The male SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Feb. 13-19) is track & field distance runner Evan Thayer. The junior from Naperville, Illinois won one event and was the runner-up in another at the NCCAA Track & Field Championship held on Saturday, Feb. 19 in Marion, Indiana. Thayer won the mile by more than five seconds with a track record of 4:13.85. He placed second in the 800 meters in 1:56.23. The Yellow Jackets placed third as a team at the meet hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
