Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The female SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Mar. 27-Apr. 2) is softball player Kendra Kassonie. The sophomore shortstop from Clayton, North Carolina paced the Lady Jacket squad to a 5-1 week.  Kassonie batted .474 in the six-game stretch including posting three hits in a 4-1 win at NCAA II Urbana and two more base hits in a 10-5 win at NCAA II Ohio Valley. She capped the week by scoring the winning run in an 8-7 upset of NAIA #15 Marian (Ind.) on Thursday, March 31 at Lady Jacket Field.
