Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The male SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Nov. 6-12) is cross country performer Evan Thayer. The senior from Naperville, Illinois ran to a third-place finish at the NCCAA Championship on Saturday, Nov. 12. Thayer posted a 25:41 effort over the 8,000 meter course to earn All-America honors and lead the Jackets to a runner-up position in the event held at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio. Thayer, an NCCAA Scholar-Athlete, was also presented the Wheeler Award which recognizes outstanding Christian character, academic excellence, and athletic performance.
