Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The female Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Feb. 26-Mar. 3) is basketball performer Kara Cayton. The 5-foot-4 senior guard from South Webster, Ohio helped lead the No. 1-seed Lady Jackets to the 2011-12 Ohio Independent Championship this past weekend in the Callan Athletic Center. Cayton finished with 13 points and three assists in a 75-67 semifinal win over Central State on Friday, March 2. She was 6-for-6 at the stripe with nine points and a game-high five assists in the 73-63 victory against Urbana in the finals on Saturday, March 3. Cayton was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player.
