Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The female Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Apr. 28-May 4) is track & field thrower Anna Pomento. The junior from Athens, Ohio earned All-America honors in the discus and crushed the school record in the shot put at the NCCAA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Pomento placed third in the discus (137-8) and fourth in the shot put (41-7.25) - adding more than two feet to the previous CU standard. The Lady Jackets placed fifth in the 24-team event held on Saturday, May 4 in Joliet, Illinois.
