The female SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Sept. 27-Oct. 3) is freshman cross country runner Katie Gillespie. The talented rookie from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio narrowly missed winning the individual title as the NAIA #5 Lady Jackets placed 6th in the All-Ohio Intercollegiate on Friday, Oct. 2 in Delaware, OH. Gillespie registered a time of 18:12 on the 5,000 meter course and finished just 9/10 of a second behind the champion. Ohio State won the 42-team event.
