The Courtyard Marriott Springfield "Male Athlete of the Week" (Sept. 23-29) is soccer player Derek Braak. The senior midfielder from Grand Haven, Michigan tallied a pair of game-winning goals in the Yellow Jacket G-MAC victories at Alderson Broaddus and at Ohio Dominican. Braak put CU on the board early at AB with a tally in the eighth minute on Wednesday, Sept. 26 in Philippi, WV. He scored early in the second half for the 1-0 win at ODU in Saturday, Sept. 29 in Columbus, OH.
