The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (January 6-12) is basketball player Branden Maughmer. The 6-foot-2 freshman guard from Chillicothe, Ohio fired in a team-high 21 points in a G-MAC contest at Lake Erie. He added six rebounds, three assists and three steals in the game played on Thursday, Jan. 10 in Painesville, Ohio.
