The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Female Athlete of the Week (January 13-19) is pole vaulter Madeline Barnes. She captured first place in the event at the Otterbein Invitational and met the NCAA Division II provisional mark on Saturday, Jan. 19 in Westerville, Ohio. Barnes, a sophomore from Lewis Center, Ohio, cleared 12-feet 0.50-inches which ranks seventh on the Lady Jackets' all-time list.
