Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Female Athlete of the Week (May 5-11) is track & field distance runner Kayla Casaletto. The senior from Goshen, Indiana set the Lady Jacket record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the North Central Invitational in Naperville, Illinois on Friday, May 10. Casaletto finished sixth of 52 participants with a time of 10:39.68 which currently ranks 19th in NCAA Division II. She took more than five seconds off of the previous record set by Sarah Mark at the 2004 NAIA Championship.
