The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (Sept. 8-14) is cross country runner Caleb Pendleton. The junior from Buxton, Maine led the Yellow Jackets to a runner-up finish at the 29th Annual Friendship Invitational held on CU's Elvin R. King Cross Country Course. Pendleton posted a personal-best 8K effort of 26:07.2 to place 12th of 114 competitors at the 10-team event on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019.
