The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Female Athlete of the Week (Jan. 5-11) is basketball player Ashlyn Huffman. The 5-foot-5 junior guard from Columbus, Indiana totaled 33 points, 11 rebounds, 18 assists and six steals in a pair of G-MAC road games at Findlay and Walsh. Huffman handed out a career-high 11 assists while grabbing six rebounds at Findlay on Thursday, Jan. 9. She added game highs of 22 points and seven assists in a 75-73 setback to Walsh on Saturday, Jan. 11 streamed by ESPN3.
